Machynlleth Broadband Project is a group of concerned local people, organizations, and businesses trying to ensure that we receive the communications infrastructure that urban areas take for granted. Our meetings are public, and we welcome new members. Getting involved is the only way we can ensure that we are heard.
Our aims are:
- To gather and record interest so that we can request that the
Machynlleth exchange be ADSL enabled.
- To promote broadband technology by informing how it can benefit people and businesses.
- To help develop schemes for the outlying Dyfi area (outside the current 6km limit from the exchange) to receive broadband. This includes looking at wireless technology solutions.
- To promote "broadband for all".
